Czech Koch Holding taken over: BEUMER strengthen its position in Tubular Belt Conveyors

The BEUMER group took over Koch Holding a.s. in the Czech Republic. This will significantly strengthen the market position of the BEUMER group in the field of tubular belt conveyors.

Koch Holding a.s. was, for years, part and centre of excellence of Koch Transporttechnik GmbH in Wadgassen, Germany. While Koch Transporttechnik GmbH was taken over by FLSmidth A/S in Denmark after the opening of insolvency proceedings some years ago, Koch Holding in the Czech Republic separated from the Koch group and became an independent enterprise. Within the context of this acquisition of the Koch Holding in the Czech Republic, the BEUMER group took over around 20 employees currently working there. With the technology know-how of both companies, the BEUMER group strengthens its position in the market of tubular belt conveyors.

BEUMER laid the foundation for curved belt conveying systems already 50 years ago. Thus the first fundamental theoretical dimensioning for curved belt conveyors available on the market originates from the BEUMER Research and Development Department. This know-how has continuously been developed, making the BEUMER group one of the technology leaders in the field of curved belt conveyor systems, either as troughed belt conveyors with open design or as tubular belt conveyors with closed design. This enables customers worldwide to rely on the first-class know-how in dimensioning both tubular belt conveyors and curved belt conveyor systems with open design within one group of companies. This is proven by the latest references, such as a 12.5-km-long curved belt conveyor system in the Chinese province of Sichuan or a 4.3-km-long tubular belt conveyor in the Ukraine, which transports material in the upper and return strand in opposite directions.
