Toyota Material Handling Europe appoints new President

Matthias Fischer, currently the MD of Toyota Material Handling Deutschland, has been appointed the new President of Toyota Material Handling Europe as of February 15, 2012.

Matthias Fischer has an extensive material handling experience, covering sales, marketing, after sales and technical services, gained through several positions with Jungheinrich. Mr Fischer has served as MD in Italy and later on as the Jungheinrich Board responsible for sales and marketing. Since April 1, 2007, Matthias Fischer has served as Managing Director of Toyota Material Handling Deutschland.

“Mr Fischer has a solid experience of the material handling business from working closely with customers in the European market. With his background he will be able to lead TMHE to yet greater growth and profitability,” says Christer Högberg, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The current President of TMHE, Håkan Dahllöf, has successfully directed TMHE through a period of considerable changes. He was also one of the prime architects of the structure of the Toyota Material Handling Group, today the world’s leading material handling player.

TMHE is now entering a new phase, whereby the company and Håkan Dahllöf have mutually agreed that it would be a natural step to go their separate ways.
