According to Fraunhofer IML, DISMOD is a tool for integrated optimization across multi-stage supply chains – from supplier to production, further processing and cross-docking right through to the factory or end-customer. It can also optimize site and production machinery utilization. The demo version (German version only) is available online at dismoddemo.iml.fraunhofer.de.The software core, DISMOD-CORE, is open source and available online. By making the source code available, Fraunhofer IML aims to stimulate knowledge-sharing and ensure that the software’s functionality is constantly being tested and honed under real-life logistics conditions."We want to foster the ongoing development of logistics software in an online community.
