The shuttles receive their travel commands directly from the SAP system. To ensure efficient order picking, the graphical tray occupation in the workstation dialog is supported by laser display at the retrieval opening of the shuttles. viastore USA has been selected to deliver an automated freezer AS/RS. The system is to be installed in the logistics center of Spanish pharmaceutical company Grifols in San Marcos (Texas). Health and safety come first at Grifols, a group of companies supplying health care professionals and patients in over 90 countries around the world. Its plasma derivatives must be stored safely at low temperatures, carefully labeled and delivered on time.

viastore will integrate a corresponding warehousing solution which is to operate at temperatures of -30°F (-34°C). It will include a one aisle double deep mini-load system, a powered roller conveyor of 180 ft. (55m) length and viad@t warehouse management software. Five operator stations are to be set up for incoming case processing.
