Perfect combination: Demag KBK light crane system
Cranes with a low deadweight made of aluminium on the basis of a proven system - this is one of the benefits offered by Demag KBK light crane systems. Whether for individual workplaces, linear transport or area-serving crane applications: the modular crane construction kit from Demag Cranes & Components is highly versatile and enables solutions to be developed to meet individual needs for loads weighing up to 1,000 kg.

- Demag KBK light crane system
The KBK Aluline aluminium design utilises its major benefit, its low deadweight, in the lower load-capacity range, wherever any weight reduction is an advantage for simple, ergonomic handling. The KBK Aluline product line can be combined with the Demag compact hoist range to provide precisely matched units for efficient lifting and transport solutions.
The combination with KBK steel components makes KBK Aluline stand out in the growing aluminium crane systems market. Typical applications feature aluminium crane girders that run on KBK crane runways made of steel profile sections. This solution is possible because the connecting elements are fully compatible. Furthermore, the KBK Aluline system utilises the suspensions of the internationally proven KBK classic range, which enable systems to be installed quickly and easily in existing building structures, for example. In this way, logistics solutions are developed to meet demands for low-weight systems and, at the same time, provide good value for money - also when fitted to existing installations at a later date. However, smooth-running operating characteristics and safety are not just a question of the system deadweight - safe system operation results from optimum design of the installation.
With KBK Aluline, the operator needs to apply only little force to set the system in motion. At the same time, the crane and travelling hoist remain at standstill when they are not required.
In combination with KBK ergo components, the KBK Aluline system is also ideal for the construction of complex handling systems. Only a few special KBK ergo components are needed that are able to accommodate negative kick-up forces. The KBK Aluline range offers two sizes of inside-running rails, which largely protect the trolley against dirt accumulation. Good corrosion protection is ensured by the standard anodized track surface and corresponding coating of the other parts. KBK Aluline also benefits from a wide range of system components. This enables single and double-girder cranes to be moved by hand as well as by electric or pneumatic drives.
In addition, the KBK Aluline system features outstanding ease of assembly. The profile sections, which measure up to eight metres in length, are simply aligned by means of steel pins and are bolted together with plug and screw fittings for a positive connection. This connection arrangement ensures smooth travel along the entire crane runway.
The modular design of the system makes it possible to adapt KBK systems to meet modified production requirements at a later date.
