Jungheinrich Showcases Warehouse Management System

The core of any state-of-the-art logistics system consists of a warehouse management system (WMS). The deployment of this technology pays off even for “smaller”, forklift-operated warehouses. The size of the investment is manageable, with substantial benefits for the user, who can uncover wasted potential in his warehouse management, control processes and streamline them for greater efficiency.

The standard version of the “Jungheinrich WMS” covers all the essential customer requirements of a number of manual logistics systems. In the majority of cases no extra programming is required. The standard version includes extensive warehouse modelling functions as well as centralised master data management. The WMS system controls and optimises material flows for all sectors — e.g. incoming and outgoing goods, warehousing, reserve storage and order picking. It moreover supports a variety of inventory options.

The WMS system supports the complete transparency of all processes through its extensive reporting features with individually configurable analysis options. The “Jungheinrich WMS” can be linked to numerous system environments using standard interfaces. The system can be adapted to fit existing intralogistics processes based on numerous parameters and user-friendly profiles which can be updated even during ongoing operations.

The WMS system also offers a series of special functions and extensions for complex logistics systems or automated warehouse sectors, including modules like route management, storage of hazardous substances, multi-client capability or material flow computation. These functions can be additionally expanded, adapted, or even completely newly designed as required.

Jungheinrich offers not only the pure software product, but also all the related services – from process consultation, drafting the product specifications including all relevant interfaces to system integration, commissioning the product including staff training and after-sales service during ongoing operations.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is a service provider with manufacturing operations as well as an intralogistics solution provider, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, shelving systems, services and consulting. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
