Jungheinrich is first past the post in a test carried out by the Technical University Vienna

The trade journal “dispo” published in Austria instructed the Institute for Vehicle Drives and Automotive Engineering at the Technical University Vienna to carry out an extensive test of electric counterbalance trucks. The winner of the test in energy efficiency is Jungheinrich.

Jungheinrich took first place in the energy efficiency sector of a truck test carried out by the Vienna University. The extensive test was initiated by the trade journal “dispo” published in Austria. The objective of the test was to compare counterbalance trucks in 3-wheel design powered by electric motors with a load capacity of 1.6 tonnes.

Measurements on traction battery, battery charger and mains supply to determine energy efficiency were carried out on the tested trucks. Dynamic and static tests were used to measure the energy flows. “The fork lift truck with the lowest energy requirement per hour was the EFG 216 model from Jungheinrich”, so it says in the summary of the energy efficiency test results. “The EFG 216 model from Jungheinrich took first place in the energy efficiency test because of the low energy requirement during operation combined with high efficiency ratios in traction battery and charger.” The test results are now available on the Internet under the address www.jungheinrich.de/de/com/index-de/presse/produkt-neuheiten/staplertest.html.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is an intralogistics service and solution provider with manufacturing operations, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, shelving systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
