For tailor-made mounting: ELF cylindrical photoelectric sensors from SICK
The new family of cylindrical photoelectric sensors with a flattened housing and two M18 mounting threads is called ELF (Economical, Little, Functional). It opens up very special tailor-made fixing options, e.g. in packaging machines or in material flow and warehouse equipment.
The ELF family of products includes a photoelectric reflex sensor with a range of 4.8 m, a photoelectric proximity sensor with a scanning distance of 50 mm and background suppression, and an energetic proximity sensor with a scanning distance of 100 mm. All sensors have an enclosure rating of IP67 and are available as cable variants and as M8 or M12 plug variants. Together with the special housing design, these electrical connections offer numerous mounting options.
Space-saving housing with two M18 mounting threads
The housing design of the ELF was consistently optimized to save mounting space and to allow a wide variety of installation possibilities. Whether with front or bottom fixing, the sensor can always be ideally mounted by means of the two M18 mounting threads. The housing lid at the back is flattened so that the sensor can also be mounted in angular locations or in spaces that offer very little installation depth. The lid itself is transparent and provides an unobstructed view of the two integrated LEDs – allowing rapid functional diagnosis in situ.
ELF – the family of cylindrical photoelectric sensors that offers an enormous variety of object detection and position determination options.
