BEUMER welcomes its 1000th member of staff: The intralogistics specialist continues its global growth

Round figures hail in the new year for the BEUMER Group based in Beckum (Germany): the global leader for the production of groundbreaking intralogistics solutions has recruited the 1000th member of staff for the group at its American offices in Branchburg, in the vicinity of New York. As the assistant to the director Matthias Erdmannsdoerfer, Ms Larissa Gnann will support the management team at the American branch – an occasion for the internationally active BEUMER Group to celebrate welcoming its 1000th employee. It shows how the development of the workforce of the BEUMER Group across all continents links up seamlessly with the strategy for success pursued by the export-oriented company.

Larissa Gnann has become the 1000th member of staff at the BEUMER Group with its headquarters in Beckum (Germany). As the assistant to the director Matthias Erdmannsdoerfer, she will support the work at the American branch of the group in Branchburg, lying 40 km west of New York City. Before joining the BEUMER Corporation, Larissa Gnann worked for an event agency, looking after visitors during the Olympic games in Beijing. In addition to this, she is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management at Berkeley College.

The BEUMER Corporation has been offering sales, engineering, on-site production, maintenance and spare parts services for a steadily growing customer base in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central America, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean nations for the last 30 years. In 2008 alone, the 53 employees of the BEUMER Corporation produced turnover of approx. 50 mill. USD.

“Not short-term profit, but long-term success is our goal” is the mission statement pursued by BEUMER, a vision that has driven the company to expand in international markets. Even in economically uncertain times BEUMER would not take any rash decisions but continues to act with foresight.
